IQUA ROBOTICS is a spin-off company from the University of Girona that was created on October 2016. IQUA develops, manufactures and commercializes Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and related technologies. The company is currently selling two different platforms: the Girona 500 and the Sparus II. IQUA‘s AUVs have hovering capabilities for seabed survey and inspection and they have an open software and hardware architecture for easy adaptation to many industrial, scientific and academic applications. IQUA’s vehicles are easily operated from its graphical user interface (IQUA view) that allows to operate the family of vehicles from the company in a simple and user-friendly manner.
Some of the customers that have trusted IQUA’s vehicles are: Universitat de les Illes Balears, Universitat Jaume I and Unidad de Tecnologías Marinas from CSIC (Spain), Haifa University (Israel), GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel (Germany), Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (Korea), Natural Environment Research Council (UK), Aberystwyth University (UK).
